Gravity Bot Review: Turn Gravity Forms Into a Chatbot (2026 Update)

Gravity Bot turns Gravity Forms forms into chatbots. What changed after Gravity Geeks bought it in 2026: features, the 39+ included add-ons, pricing and whether it's worth it.

Gravity Bot turns a Gravity Forms form into a chatbot. You build the form in the normal Gravity Forms editor, and Gravity Bot shows it one question at a time in a chat window on any page you pick. Entries, notifications, conditional logic and add-on feeds all work the same as a regular form. A license costs $59 to $249 a year, and you also need a Gravity Forms license.

Updated October 2026. I first reviewed Gravity Bot in January 2022, when it was a new add-on still in beta. A lot has changed since then: the plugin has a new owner, new pricing and a bundle of extra add-ons. This review covers where it stands now.

One thing hasn’t changed: this is a chatbot, not a “live chat” tool. No one on your team is typing the replies. The bot asks your form’s questions and answers with the logic you set up.

What’s New: Gravity Geeks Now Owns Gravity Bot

In September 2026, Gravity Geeks, Inc. took over Gravity Bot. It’s their first acquisition. Gravity Geeks makes Gravity Forms add-ons for CRMs, email marketing, e-signatures, SMS and SMTP, and those now come with a Gravity Bot license.

Gravity Geeks is also upfront about the past. Its announcement says support “took a serious hit” under the previous owner, with long ticket times and unresolved issues. The new team says it has restructured support with dedicated engineers, and it promises regular code audits, security and compatibility updates, and clear release notes. Read the announcement.

Here’s what’s different from my 2022 review:

  • New owner: Gravity Geeks, Inc. Your Gravity Bot account, downloads and license keys now live at gravitygeeks.net.
  • 39+ automation add-ons included: every license now comes with Gravity Geeks’ integrations, such as HubSpot, Zendesk, Freshworks, Help Scout, Zoho, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Omnisend, Dropbox Sign, PandaDoc, Twilio, Sinch and Amazon SES.
  • Auto-embed and bulk add: pick the pages and posts where the chatbot should appear, or select them all to add it sitewide.
  • New pricing: Single Site is still $59 a year, 5 Sites is $149 and Unlimited Sites is now $249 (it was $159).
  • New docs: the documentation moved to Gravity Bot docs (the old docs.gravitybot.net address no longer works).

How Gravity Bot Works

If you’ve built a multi-page form in Gravity Forms, you already know most of it. A Gravity Bot chatbot is a multi-page form where every page holds one question, shown as a chat message.

  1. Build your form in the Gravity Forms editor. Radio buttons and checkboxes work best, because visitors can tap an answer.
  2. Add a Page field between every question.
  3. Add conditional logic to the Page fields so the bot skips or shows questions based on earlier answers. (More on this in How to skip pages in a multi-page form.)
  4. In the form settings, open the Chatbot tab and turn on Chatbot is Enabled.
  5. Create a standalone page with just the form on it (AJAX on), and add that page’s URL as the Chatbot Embed URL.
  6. Use Auto Embed to choose where the chatbot appears, or add it to a single page with the shortcode [chatbot formid="7"] (swap 7 for your form ID).

You can also give the chatbot a name, logo and main color, use your site’s favicon as the chat icon, and turn on a chat-style confirmation message instead of building your own. The chatbot runs on your own server, not a third-party service, so there’s no outside script to load.

Because it’s still a Gravity Forms form, the rest of Gravity Forms keeps working: notifications, confirmations, Save and Continue, hooks and filters, and add-on feeds. Gravity Bot says it works with all official, certified and community add-ons, including Gravity Flow, GravityView and Gravity PDF. For picture answers, it supports JetSloth Image Choices (see my Image Choices review) and Image Hopper for image uploads.

Is Gravity Bot an AI chatbot? No. It doesn’t write answers or understand free-typed questions. Every reply comes from the questions and conditional logic you build, which makes it predictable and keeps your data in Gravity Forms. If you want AI-written answers, you need a different kind of tool.

Requirements

  • Gravity Forms license (any license; Gravity Forms 2.5 or higher)
  • Gravity Bot license (any plan)
  • Gravity Geeks recommends the same system requirements as WordPress: PHP 7.4+, MySQL 8.0+ and the latest version of WordPress

Chatbot Templates

If you don’t want to start from a blank form, Gravity Bot has a library of templates that are free with any license. Import one, then change it in the form editor or use it as is.

The Gravity Bot chatbot template library: eCommerce Bot, Offline Bot and Help Bot, each free with a license

For a quick look at the builder, here’s Gravity Bot’s own overview video (recorded in 2022, so a few screens may look different):

Gravity Bot Pricing

Every plan has the same features. The only difference is the number of sites.

PlanPriceSites
Single Site$59 / year1
5 Sites$149 / year5
Unlimited Sites$249 / yearUnlimited
Gravity Bot pricing: Single Site $59, 5 Sites $149 and Unlimited Sites $249, billed yearly

All plans include unlimited chatbots, the template library, the 39+ automation add-ons, new add-ons as they’re released, auto embed, branding, conditional logic, notifications, hooks and support. Licenses are yearly; there’s no lifetime option. If your license runs out, your chatbots keep working, but you stop getting updates and support. At the time of writing, Gravity Geeks was taking 10% off the first year at checkout.

Back in 2022 I said I’d drop the 5 Sites plan, and I still think Single Site and Unlimited are the two that make sense for most people. Unlimited costs more than it used to, but it now comes with a whole set of integration add-ons, which helps if you’re an agency using them across client sites.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • You build the chatbot in the Gravity Forms editor, with nothing new to learn
  • Full Gravity Forms power: conditional logic, notifications, feeds, hooks
  • Runs on your own server, with your data in Gravity Forms entries
  • Unlimited chatbots, with different bots on different pages
  • Templates and 39+ integration add-ons included with every license

Cons

  • Not AI: every answer has to be planned with conditional logic
  • Each chatbot needs its own standalone “embed” page
  • A Page field between every question makes long bots slow to build
  • Unlimited Sites went up from $159 to $249 a year
  • The previous owner’s support track record means the new team still has to prove itself

Is Gravity Bot Worth It?

There’s still no other Gravity Forms add-on that turns your forms into a chat-style bot, and it’s good to see Gravity Bot back under active development. If you want a chatbot for lead capture, booking or simple support questions and you already use Gravity Forms, it’s worth a look. You keep your existing integrations instead of paying for a separate chatbot service.

If you want a bot that answers anything a visitor types, Gravity Bot isn’t that tool. It’s best when you can map out the conversation ahead of time.

Use Cases

The templates show the obvious ones: lead qualifying, appointments, newsletter sign-ups, registration and simple sales. You can run more than one at a time, too, such as a support bot on your contact page and a “get started” bot on your homepage.

Don’t add a chatbot just to have one, though. Chatbots get frustrating fast when people expect a real person. If you use one, make it help people make a decision.

For example: sales tend to go up when customers can get help during checkout. A bot on the checkout page can answer the usual questions (refunds, shipping, discounts, stock) and give a phone number, email or support form link for anything else. Because you choose which pages each bot appears on, it shows up exactly where people get stuck.

Things to Check Before You Buy

  • Buy from the developer, not CodeCanyon. In my experience, CodeCanyon purchases are non-refundable once you download the file, and support quality varies. Gravity Bot is sold directly through Gravity Geeks.
  • Make sure the plugin is maintained. Paying for updates and support doesn’t guarantee you’ll get them, which is exactly what happened to Gravity Bot customers before the sale. Gravity Geeks has committed to regular updates and faster support, so keep an eye on the release notes.
  • Check the refund policy. I couldn’t find a refund policy on the Gravity Bot or Gravity Geeks sites, so ask them before you buy if that matters to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who owns Gravity Bot now?

Gravity Geeks, Inc. took over Gravity Bot in September 2026. It was their first acquisition, and Gravity Bot licenses now include Gravity Geeks’ 39+ integration add-ons.

Is there a free version of Gravity Bot?

No. Gravity Bot is a premium plugin with yearly licenses from $59 (1 site) to $249 (unlimited sites). You also need a Gravity Forms license.

Is Gravity Bot an AI chatbot?

No. Gravity Bot shows a Gravity Forms form as a chat, one question at a time. Its replies come from the questions and conditional logic you build, not from AI.

Does Gravity Bot work with all Gravity Forms add-ons?

Gravity Bot says it supports all official, certified and community add-ons, including Gravity Flow, GravityView and Gravity PDF. Notifications, confirmations, feeds, Save and Continue and hooks all still work.

How do I add a Gravity Bot chatbot to my site?

Turn on “Chatbot is Enabled” in the form’s Chatbot settings, embed the form on a standalone page and add that page as the Chatbot Embed URL. Then use Auto Embed to pick the pages it shows on, or add the [chatbot formid=”ID”] shortcode to a page.

What happens when my Gravity Bot license expires?

Your chatbots keep working, but you stop getting updates and support until you renew.

Alternatives

I still haven’t found another Gravity Forms add-on that turns forms into a chatbot. These are the closest options that connect to Gravity Forms:

Gravity Forms Conversational Forms Add-On

The official Conversational Forms add-on shows your form one question at a time on a full-screen page, instead of in a chat window. It’s great for surveys and lead forms where you send people to a link. See Gravity Forms Conversational Forms Add-On and A/B Split Test: Conversational Forms vs Normal Forms.

HubSpot

HubSpot’s free chat tool is live chat; chatbots need a paid plan. It’s a good option if you already use HubSpot as your CRM, since Gravity Forms connects to it with the HubSpot add-on. Check it out.

The Wrap-Up

Most people would rather do more with a tool they already know than learn yet another app. That’s what Gravity Bot does: it takes the Gravity Forms you already use and turns them into a chatbot. With new owners and a lot more included in the license, it’s worth another look in 2026.

If you think it can help you capture more leads or better serve your visitors, go get your Gravity Bot license.
