Gravity Forms Spam

  |  by Chris Eggleston

Symptoms

Do you get a large number of Gravity Forms spam submissions? Maybe you have reCAPTCHA or honeypot enabled and possibly you don’t have any spam protection in place.

Spam is not uncommon and it is not only an issue with forms built with Gravity Forms. The spammers are not usually bots, so a lot of the usual prevention methods (i.e captcha) are no longer working as effectively as they have in the past.

How To Fix It

For the best spam fighting solutions, I recommend that you bookmark and review this official Fighting Spam article from Gravity Forms. It is recommended that you use multiple solutions at the same time.

Plugins I Recommend

These plugins are mentioned in the article linked above, however, I have had good success with them.

If you decide to try Akismet’s Gravity Forms integration, be sure to read this article, Akismet Anti-Spam from the Gravity Forms help docs.
