Mission brief

About Gravity Ranger

An independent mission control for people who build with Gravity Forms. Clear tutorials, honest reviews, and a directory of add-ons that are still in orbit.

The mission

Help you launch forms that actually work

Gravity Forms can do far more than most people ask of it: payments, approvals, calculations, member sign-ups, whole workflows. The hard part is knowing which setting, add-on, or snippet gets you there without breaking something else.

Gravity Ranger exists to close that gap. Every tutorial is written to get you from “how do I…” to a working form, with the reasoning behind each step so you can adapt it to your own site.

  1. 01

    Make it make sense

Plain language, real examples, and the why behind every step. No jargon walls.

  2. 02

    Keep it current

Tutorials get revised as Gravity Forms changes, and the add-on directory is re-checked every week.

  3. 03

    Stay independent

Nobody pays for a review or a listing. Affiliate links are always disclosed, and they never decide what we recommend.

Mission log

Flight record, oldest first
  1. Jan 2012

The oldest tutorial in the archive goes up: Gravity Forms Support Ticket System. Gravity Forms was young, and so were most of the tricks for bending it to fit.

  2. 2012–2025

Years of tutorials, help docs, and plugin reviews, built from the questions people actually ask: payments, conditional logic, notifications, multi-page forms, and the add-ons that fill the gaps.

  3. 2026

A rebuilt Gravity Ranger: faster pages, light and dark modes, and a members area with a community for questions, step-by-step classes, the Vault of templates and snippets, and Labs builds.

  4. Oct 2026

277 official, certified, and community add-ons, each checked against its source every week. If one stops getting updates, it drops out of orbit.

  5. Next

New tutorials and classes are planned from member questions. Ask in the community and it may become the next mission.

What’s on board

Meet the ranger

Hi, I’m Chris Eggleston

I’m a WordPress developer and support engineer with about 15 years of building, fixing, and explaining WordPress sites. Gravity Forms has been part of nearly every one of them, and it’s the tool I reach for whenever a site needs to collect, calculate, or automate something.

I run WP Mantis, a WordPress support and maintenance agency, and I build plugins of my own, including Mantis SEO, Simple Share Icons, and many others. Most of what ends up on Gravity Ranger starts as a real problem on a real site.

I’m based in Arizona. If a tutorial helped you, or one left you stuck, I’d like to hear about it.
