Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

The short version: We collect what we need to run your account, process payments (through Stripe), send emails you’ve asked for, and understand how the Site is used. We don’t sell your data and we don’t use ad networks. You can ask us for a copy of your data or to delete it at any time.

1. Who we are

GravityRanger.com (“Gravity Ranger,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by WP Mantis LLC, which is responsible for your personal data under this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].

This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website, member accounts, and emails we send.

2. What we collect

(a) Information you give us

  • Account details: name, email address, username, and password (stored encrypted; we can’t see it).
  • Membership and billing: your plan, its status, and renewal dates. Card details go directly to Stripe; we only see the card brand, last four digits, and expiry date.
  • Community content: questions, replies, comments, saved and liked posts, and anything you share for a member makeover.
  • Messages: emails, contact-form submissions, and chat messages you send us.
  • Newsletter: your email address and name if you subscribe.

(b) Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, referring site, and approximate location derived from your IP address, collected by HubSpot’s site analytics.
  • Device data: IP address, browser, and device type, recorded in our server logs for security.
  • Learning progress: for members, which lessons you’ve completed, so the Site can show your progress.
  • Click and view counts: we count clicks on affiliate links and views of advertisement banners. These counts are totals per link or banner and are not tied to your identity.
  • Cookies and local storage: see our Cookies Policy.

3. How we use it

  • To create and run your account and give you the content your plan includes.
  • To process payments, renewals, upgrades, and cancellations, and send receipts.
  • To send account emails (like payment problems or plan changes) and reply notifications you’ve turned on.
  • To send newsletters, only if you’ve subscribed. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
  • To answer your questions and support requests.
  • To understand which content is useful and improve the Site.
  • To keep the Site secure and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with advertising networks for targeted ads.

4. Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

  • Contract: to provide your account and membership.
  • Consent: for newsletters and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent anytime.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the Site secure, prevent abuse, and understand how it’s used, in ways you’d reasonably expect.
  • Legal obligation: to keep payment and tax records.

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only what they need:

  • Stripe: payment processing and subscription billing (Stripe Privacy Policy).
  • HubSpot: site analytics and the chat widget (HubSpot Privacy Policy).
  • SendFox: newsletter delivery, if you subscribe.
  • Bunny.net: hosting and streaming member videos (bunny.net Privacy Policy).
  • Our web host and email delivery provider: to run the Site and send account emails.
  • Google Fonts: our fonts load from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address (Google Privacy Policy).
  • Gravatar (Automattic): shows profile images next to comments, based on a hashed version of your email address (Automattic Privacy Policy).
  • YouTube (Google): some tutorials embed YouTube videos. YouTube may collect data when you play them.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights or safety of our members or others, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data.

6. International transfers

We’re based in the United States and our providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where required, transfers are covered by safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, as offered by each provider.

7. How long we keep it

  • Account and profile: while your account exists. Delete your account and we remove it, except as below.
  • Payment and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to 7 years).
  • Community posts and comments: until you or we remove them. If you delete your account, we can delete your posts or anonymize them so threads still make sense. Tell us which you prefer.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
  • Server logs: a short period for security, then deleted.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate data. You can update most details yourself in My Account.
  • Delete your data and account.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent, for example by unsubscribing from emails.
  • Receive your data in a portable format.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email [email protected] from the email address on your account. We’ll respond within 30 days (or sooner where the law requires). Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription by itself, so cancel in My Account first or ask us to do both.

California residents: you have the rights to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and not to be discriminated against for using them. We don’t sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Security

The Site uses HTTPS, passwords are stored encrypted, payments are handled by Stripe, and private member files are only served after an access check. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

10. Children

The Site isn’t intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we don’t knowingly collect their data. Purchases require you to be 18 or older. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

11. Links to other sites

We link to many third-party sites, including add-on developers and affiliate partners. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies before sharing data with them.

12. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy when our practices change. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version, and we’ll email members about significant changes.

13. Contact
