What it does

Spam and malicious form submissions waste your time and pollute your data. The AbuseIPDB add-on checks the IP address behind every form entry against a global database of IPs linked to spam, fraud, hacking, and abuse — before the entry ever reaches you.

You set a confidence score threshold (0–100), and any submission that exceeds it is automatically marked as spam. You can also block submissions from specific countries or domains tied to known bad actors. Because the score is based on how recently and how often an IP has been reported, filtering stays current rather than relying on a fixed list.

This add-on also supports two-way reporting: when you mark an entry as spam in WordPress, the IP is reported back to AbuseIPDB as Web Spam, helping improve the shared database for everyone. It works alongside other Gravity Forms anti-spam tools like Akismet, reCAPTCHA, and honeypot protection.
