Fresh Forms

Fresh Forms automatically prevents caching on any page where a Gravity Forms form is embedded, so your forms always load fresh.

What it does

Caching speeds up pages that rarely change, but it breaks Gravity Forms features like reCAPTCHA, dynamic data, and JavaScript-dependent fields. Manually excluding every form page from your cache is easy to forget, especially when you add new forms later.

Fresh Forms handles this automatically. It detects whether a post or page contains a Gravity Forms shortcode or Gutenberg block, then tells your caching plugin, browser, and CDN to skip caching for that page. It also flushes existing cache on activation so the detection can run right away.

This plugin suits anyone running a caching plugin alongside Gravity Forms who wants forms to work correctly without manually managing cache exclusion rules.

Key features

  • Automatically detects Gravity Forms shortcodes and Gutenberg blocks in any post type
  • Prevents page caching for 14 supported caching plugins including WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, and LiteSpeed Cache
  • Sends Cache-Control HTTP headers to exclude form pages from CloudFlare and other proxies
  • Supports popular page builders: Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, Avada, WPBakery, and more
  • Works with WooCommerce Gravity Forms Product Add-ons and ACF field types
  • No settings page required — install and it works automatically
  • Filter available to manually specify post IDs if your embedding method isn't detected

Does this work with my caching plugin?

It supports 14 plugins including WP Rocket, WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed Cache, Hummingbird, and others. Breeze and NitroPack are not supported because they don't allow cache exclusion via the standard constant or filters.

Do I need to configure anything after installing?

No. There is no settings page. The plugin detects form pages automatically and flushes the existing cache on activation.

Does it work with CloudFlare?

Yes, it adds the appropriate HTTP header to exclude form pages from CloudFlare's cache. You'll need to manually purge your CloudFlare cache once after activating the plugin. Note that this won't work on hosts like WP Engine or Kinsta that block HTTP header modification from WordPress.

What if I embed forms in a way the plugin doesn't detect?

You can use a provided filter to pass the post IDs where you want Fresh Forms to apply, so any embedding method can be covered.
