Termageddon

Add a consent checkbox to your Gravity Forms that links to your Termageddon policy pages and records an auditable snapshot of policy versions at submission time.

by Gravity Forms Paid Official Updated Aug 17, 2026

What it does

When someone submits a form, you often need proof that they agreed to your Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, or other legal documents at a specific point in time. Without a structured record, it's hard to show exactly which version of a policy a user accepted and when.

This add-on adds a dedicated Termageddon Consent field to Gravity Forms. It automatically finds your published Termageddon policy pages, links them inside a customizable checkbox label, and saves a snapshot—including policy URLs, policy keys, and content version hashes—with every accepted submission. You can review that record on the entry detail screen in Gravity Forms.

It is aimed at site owners who already use Termageddon to generate and host their legal policies and want a clear, auditable trail of form-level consent. Note: this is an experimental alpha release and does not replace or configure a cookie consent banner.

Key features

  • Adds a Termageddon Consent checkbox field to the Gravity Forms Advanced Fields group
  • Automatically discovers Termageddon policy pages published on your WordPress site
  • Supports Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Cookie Policy, Disclaimer, and EULA policy types
  • Customizable label using a {policies} placeholder that renders readable linked policy names
  • Records consent timestamp, policy URLs, policy keys, and MD5 content hashes per submission
  • Consent record is visible in a dedicated panel on the Gravity Forms entry detail screen
  • Supports Gravity Forms conditional logic to control when the field appears

Good for

Legal consent trackingCapture and store exactly which policy version a user agreed to when they submitted a form.
Multi-policy acknowledgmentLink several policy types—such as a Privacy Policy and Terms of Service—in a single checkbox label.
Compliance auditingGive administrators a reviewable consent record on each entry without leaving Gravity Forms.

Written from Gravity Forms’s own listing. Version and dates come straight from the source and are checked weekly.

Does this replace my Termageddon cookie consent banner?

No. The add-on handles form-level policy consent only and does not create or configure a cookie banner.

What gets recorded when someone checks the consent box?

The add-on saves the consent timestamp, selected policy types and labels, published policy page URLs, Termageddon policy keys, and MD5 hashes of the policy content at submission time.

What happens if the Termageddon API is unavailable when a form is submitted?

The form submission still goes through. The version hash is recorded as unavailable instead of blocking the entry.

What do I need installed before using this add-on?

You need WordPress 6.5 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer, Gravity Forms 2.7 or newer, and the Termageddon: Cookie Consent & Privacy Compliance plugin active, plus at least one published WordPress page containing a Termageddon policy embed.
