FreshBooks
Connect Gravity Forms to FreshBooks to create clients, invoices, expenses, projects, and more from form submissions.
What it does
Manually re-entering form data into your accounting software wastes time and introduces errors. This add-on sends Gravity Forms submission data directly to FreshBooks, creating or updating records without any copy-pasting.
When someone submits a form, the add-on can create a FreshBooks client, generate an invoice or estimate, log an expense, record other income, issue a credit note, set up a recurring invoice, create a project, log a time entry, or add a billable item. You map form fields to FreshBooks fields, use merge tags to fill in details, and apply conditional logic to control which submissions trigger which actions.
It connects via OAuth 2.0 and supports Gravity Forms pricing fields for building line items, delayed processing until payment is received, and recording completed payments against FreshBooks invoices. It suits freelancers, agencies, and small businesses that collect client or billing information through WordPress forms.

Good for
Written from Gravity Forms’s own listing. Version and dates come straight from the source and are checked weekly.
Does it work with the current FreshBooks, or only FreshBooks Classic?
It connects to the current FreshBooks REST API. A separate FreshBooks Classic Add-On exists, and both can run on the same site without conflicts.
Can it update an existing FreshBooks client instead of always creating a new one?
Yes. You can choose to match and update an existing client when the submitted email address already exists in FreshBooks.
Does it support payment integration?
Yes. You can delay feed processing until a Gravity Forms payment is completed and then record that payment against the corresponding FreshBooks invoice.
What are the technical requirements?
You need WordPress 6.5 or higher, PHP 7.4 or higher, Gravity Forms 2.9.24 or higher, a FreshBooks account using the current API, and HTTPS on your site for OAuth authentication.
