What it does

When someone submits a form, Gravity Forms assigns each entry a sequential number, but that number isn't easy to format or display as a reference code. Unique ID fills that gap by generating a dedicated ID for each successful submission — one that you control.

You pick the ID type: alphanumeric, numeric, or sequential. For sequential IDs you set the starting number, length, prefix, and suffix. That means you can produce identifiers like INV-00042 or ORD-2024-001 right out of the box. Once generated, the ID is available as a merge tag in confirmations, notifications, and anywhere else Gravity Forms supports merge tags.

This add-on is useful for anyone who needs a human-readable reference number on their forms — order tracking, support tickets, invoices, coupon codes, or referral programs.

Is the ID truly unique per form?

Yes — each Unique ID stays unique to its form and field, so no two entries on the same form share the same ID.

Can I control what the ID looks like?

Yes. For sequential IDs you can set the starting number, total length, and add a prefix and suffix to match your use case.

Where can I display the generated ID?

Anywhere Gravity Forms supports merge tags — confirmation messages, email notifications, and more.

Is this a standalone plugin?

Unique ID is part of the Gravity Perks suite, which includes 48+ Gravity Forms add-ons from Gravity Wiz.
