GravityWP – Count

Display a count of Gravity Forms entries or the sum of a number field anywhere on your site using a shortcode.

by GravityWP Free Updated Oct 27, 2025

What it does

When you need to show visitors how many form entries have been submitted, or total up the values from a number field across all entries, there is no built-in Gravity Forms shortcode to do that. GravityWP – Count fills that gap with a simple shortcode you paste into any page, post, or widget.

You add the shortcode with a form ID and it outputs the entry count or field total. You can filter results by field values, date range, entry status, the logged-in user, GravityView approval status, or Gravity Flow workflow step. You can also control decimal places, decimal point style, and thousands separator to match your locale.

The plugin is free and built for anyone who wants to surface live form data on the front end without writing custom code.

Key features

  • Count total entries for one or more forms with a single shortcode
  • Sum the values of a number field across all matching entries
  • Filter results by up to five field values with flexible comparison operators
  • Filter by date range, read status, starred status, or the current logged-in user
  • Supports GravityView approval status as a filter
  • Supports Gravity Flow workflow step and step status as filters
  • Control thousands separator, decimal point, and number of decimal places in the output

Does this plugin work with Gravity Flow?

Yes. You can filter the count by workflow step ID and by step status (pending or complete).

Can I show only the count for the currently logged-in user?

Yes. Add created_by="current" to the shortcode to limit results to the logged-in user's entries.

Does it work with the Gravity Encryption plugin?

Not without extra custom code. The plugin won't work out of the box alongside Gravity Encryption.

How many filters can I apply at once?

You can apply up to five field-based filters in a single shortcode.
