Multi Page Auto Advance

Automatically advance multi-page Gravity Forms to the next page after a visitor answers a radio button or dropdown field.

by Zero Zen Design Free Updated Jun 16, 2026

What it does

Visitors filling out multi-page forms often have to answer a question, scroll to find the Next button, click it, and wait. Multi Page Auto Advance removes that extra step by moving the form to the next page the moment a supported field is answered.

You configure auto-advance directly inside the Gravity Forms field settings panel. Just open a Radio Button or Dropdown field, check the Auto Advance box, save, and test. No custom JavaScript needed.

The free version covers radio buttons and dropdowns. Paid tiers add more field types, conditional logic, transition animations, hidden navigation buttons, and support for Gravity Forms Conversational Forms, making it possible to build a one-question-at-a-time experience entirely inside Gravity Forms.

Which fields trigger auto-advance in the free version?

The free version supports radio button fields and dropdown fields only.

Can I hide the Next button?

Yes, settings for hiding manual navigation buttons are included so visitors move through the form by answering questions instead of clicking Next.

What happens if two trigger fields are on the same page?

It works as long as both fields are not set as required. If both are required, the form will not advance and will show an error message instead.

Do I still need Gravity Forms installed?

Yes, this is an add-on for Gravity Forms. You build and manage your forms in Gravity Forms as usual, and this plugin adds auto-advance behavior on top.
