Google Sheets

Send Gravity Forms submissions directly to a Google Sheet, mapping fields to columns automatically.

by Gravity Forms Paid Official Updated May 28, 2026

What it does

Many teams track form responses in Google Sheets, but copying entries by hand is slow and error-prone. This add-on connects Gravity Forms to Google Sheets so each submission lands in your spreadsheet the moment it arrives.

You set up a feed inside the familiar Gravity Forms settings screen, map your form fields to spreadsheet columns, and pick a spreadsheet using Google's file picker or by pasting a spreadsheet ID. From that point on, every new entry creates a new row automatically. You can also configure the feed to update an existing row when a column value matches, which keeps a single dataset current instead of growing a long list of duplicates.

It suits support teams, operations staff, marketers, and anyone who already lives in spreadsheets and wants form data there without extra steps.

Key features

  • Automatically adds a new row to a Google Sheet for each form submission
  • Maps Gravity Forms fields to specific spreadsheet columns
  • Optionally updates an existing row when a matching column value is found
  • Works with new or existing spreadsheets via Google's file picker or a pasted spreadsheet ID
  • Authenticates with Google using OAuth for secure access
  • Configured per form using standard Gravity Forms feed screens
  • Uses the Google Sheets v4 REST API with built-in caching and basic rate limiting

Do I need a Google Cloud account to use this?

Yes. You need to create a Google Cloud project, enable the Google Sheets, Google Drive, and Google Picker APIs, and set up OAuth credentials. The listing includes step-by-step instructions.

Can it update an existing row instead of always adding a new one?

Yes. You can configure an update-row behavior so that when a column value matches an existing record, that row is updated rather than a new one being appended.

Can I connect it to a spreadsheet I already have?

Yes. You can select an existing spreadsheet using Google's file picker or paste a spreadsheet ID directly.

What versions of WordPress, PHP, and Gravity Forms are required?

You need WordPress 5.0 or higher, PHP 7.4 or higher, and Gravity Forms 2.7 or higher.
