MailPoet
Connect Gravity Forms to MailPoet so form submissions automatically add or update subscribers in your MailPoet lists.
What it does
Growing an email list manually is slow and error-prone. This add-on links your Gravity Forms to MailPoet so every qualifying submission creates or updates a subscriber without any extra steps from you.
When someone submits a form, the add-on checks whether that email already exists in MailPoet. If it does, it can update the subscriber's details and merge tags. If not, it creates a new subscriber and adds them to the list you chose. You can also trigger confirmation emails, welcome emails, and skip notification emails—all from the feed settings.
This is an experimental (alpha) release from Gravity Forms Labs, so it is still in early development. It requires both Gravity Forms and the MailPoet plugin installed on the same WordPress site. No external API credentials are needed because it talks directly to MailPoet through its local PHP API.
Key features
- Add new MailPoet subscribers from form submissions automatically
- Update existing subscribers when the same email is submitted again
- Map form fields to MailPoet subscriber fields including email and name
- Assign subscribers to a specific MailPoet list per feed
- Add static or merge-tag-based MailPoet tags to subscribers
- Use conditional logic to control which submissions trigger the feed
- Delay subscriber creation until after a payment is received
Good for
Written from Gravity Forms’s own listing. Version and dates come straight from the source and are checked weekly.
Do I need a MailPoet API key or external account?
No. The add-on uses MailPoet's local PHP API, so it only needs the MailPoet plugin installed and active on the same WordPress site.
Can it update an existing subscriber instead of creating a duplicate?
Yes. If the submitted email already exists in MailPoet, the add-on updates that subscriber's details rather than creating a new record.
Is this add-on production-ready?
It is currently an alpha release from Gravity Forms Labs, meaning it is experimental and still in early development.
Can I control which form submissions trigger the MailPoet feed?
Yes. You can set conditional logic rules so only entries that meet your chosen conditions create or update a subscriber.
