Flight Logs

Store, browse, filter, and share Gravity Forms debug logs from a structured database-backed admin interface.

by Gravity Forms Paid Official Updated Jun 22, 2026

What it does

Gravity Forms normally writes log events to flat files, which can be hard to search and easy to lose. Flight Logs captures those same events and saves them as structured database records, so you can browse, filter, and inspect them in a dedicated admin screen under Forms → Logs.

Each log entry is grouped by the PHP request that produced it and linked to related requests using trace IDs. That means you can follow a form submission through async processing, feed execution, and any other connected steps in one view instead of hunting through raw text files.

The add-on is built for developers and site owners who need to troubleshoot form submissions, integrations, and multi-step workflows. It requires Gravity Forms 2.9.26+, WordPress 5.9+, PHP 7.4+, and the Gravity Forms Logging Add-On to be active.

Key features

  • Stores log events in custom database tables instead of flat files
  • Groups logs by request and links related requests with trace IDs
  • Built-in log viewer at Forms → Logs with filtering by level, plugin, date, and more
  • Stash important logs to protect them from automatic cleanup
  • Generate shareable read-only links for a trace or request, with optional expiration
  • Export request or trace logs as Markdown files
  • View related trace data directly on the Gravity Forms entry detail screen

Does this replace the Gravity Forms Logging Add-On?

No, it requires the Gravity Forms Logging Add-On to be installed and active. It builds on top of it by storing logs in a database and adding the browsing interface.

Will old logs pile up and slow down my database?

The add-on automatically removes older non-stashed logs based on a configurable retention period and enforces a maximum record cap. You can also delete all non-stashed logs manually from the plugin settings.

Can I control which log events get captured?

Yes. You can set a minimum log level in the plugin settings so only events at or above that severity are stored.

Do public share links stay active forever?

You choose. You can set links to expire after a selected duration or keep them active indefinitely, depending on your needs.
