Gravity Forms Populate Anything by Gravity Wiz is one of the most powerful add-ons in the Gravity Perks suite. It transforms static forms into dynamic, data-driven experiences.

What Does Populate Anything Do?

At its core, Populate Anything enables dynamic population of Gravity Forms fields. Instead of manually creating dropdown options, you can pull data directly from WordPress posts, users, taxonomies, other form entries, and custom database tables.

Key Features

Populate Choices Dynamically: Radio buttons, checkboxes, and dropdown fields can pull options from live data. Create a field that automatically lists users with the “Sales” role—when you add a new sales rep, the form updates instantly.

Populate Values Dynamically: Pre-fill field values based on context. Show the current user’s email, populate a hidden field with the post ID, or fetch the most recent order for a logged-in WooCommerce customer.

Advanced Filtering: Create complex AND/OR logic to filter which data appears. Show only posts in the “Events” category that haven’t expired yet.

Custom Value Templates: Combine multiple data properties into custom display formats.

Real-World Use Cases

1. Dynamic Product Configurators: Build product configurators where dropdowns cascade based on selections—all without hardcoding options.

2. Event Registration with Live Capacity: Show only sessions with available seats, filtered by date.

3. Client Portal Forms: Pre-populate forms with the logged-in user’s project data from custom post types.

4. Multi-Form Workflows: Use entries from Form A to populate choices in Form B.

Do You Need It?

Gravity Forms core can pre-populate fields via query strings, but it’s limited and static. If you need choices that update based on database changes, dynamic filtering, cross-form data relationships, or complex cascading dropdowns, then Populate Anything is essential.
